Originally from Toronto, Canada, Kayla Perrin lives in Miami, Florida. She attended the University of Toronto on a four-year scholarship, where she obtained a B.A. in English and Sociology. Later deciding she wanted to be a teacher, she attended York University and obtained a B. Ed. Teachers were being laid off in Toronto when she graduated, so, frustrated, she used her time to pursue her life-long dream of becoming a published author. Not landing a teaching job was a blessing in disguise; in four years, she had thirteen original releases hit the shelves, the beginning of a long and fruitful career.
