A native Texan, Kei Swanson's career has been that of a Registered Nurse whose specialty is Labor and Delivery. She now lives in San Antonio with her husband and is the mother of two grown sons. She began writing in high school, influenced by 1940's author Rose Franken and her Claudia books. Her second inspiration was her interest in Japan. This resulted in her blending romantic relationships and the exotic land of the samurai.
